The Society
In 3 years, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce’s MUN society, MUNitions, has created a deep impact in the National MUN Circuits in India. From 3 members in 2009, the team now comprises of more than 30 members who have taken part in and won in these international conferences held all around India. Founded by Sidharth Das, an English Honors student, who has taken part in over 50 MUN Conferences himself and is considered one of the most reputed MUNers, and comprising of upcoming and reputed MUNers like Nishesh Bhasin, Nirjhar Bhattacharya and Siddharth Soni who have shown keen interest and won laurels for the college, MUNitions has achieved great heights. Our MUN team is one of the finest in India, spoken together with the likes of that of VIT with their 200 member MUN teams and leading colleges of DU itself, such LSR, Hansraj and St Stephens.
Not only does MUNitions take part in MUNs, but we have also been approached for MUN training by Colloquium, the Discussion Forum of Hansraj College, helped organize an MUN for Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab, Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Delhi and AISEC in DU’s first conference, and also otherwise has created a niche’ for ourselves in all aspects of this all encompassing co curricular activity.
A benchmark in our progress has been DMUNC 2011, and this year, we give to you the second edition of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce Model United Nations Conference – DMUNC 2012
